In 2005, OMEGA drew upon its rich maritime heritage and launched the Planet Ocean line. This modern version, the OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer, proudly honors the company’s dive watch legacy.
This timepiece features sapphire crystal and a 39.5mm stainless steel case framed with a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel with OMEGA Liquidmetal™ diving scale. Its blue ceramic dial displays Arabic numerals, a date window at the 3 o'clock position, and an alveol screw-in caseback. The piece is finished with a stainless steel bracelet and a patented extendable foldover clasp.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is impermeable up to a maximum water pressure of 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar; the helium-escape valve provides additional protection against water. The 8800 calibre at its core has also passed the 8 stringent tests issued by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) in order to gain the Master Chronometer certification--the mechanism is visible through the transparent caseback.
